Paris, France.

Paris, France.

From London we took the Eurorail under the English Chunnel (the tunnel under the English Channel) info France. The Eurorail is nuts, they can get near 400mph. We arrived in Paris, got off the train, and ran right into a group of gypsies just waiting to gyp us. Literally. Definitely something you do not see in America. Our hotel was a few block from the Eiffel Tower. We spent an afternoon at the tower and went to the second floor for quite a great view of the city. The tower sparkles every night on the hour for about 10 mins. We went to the Louve Museum, the largest museum in the world, and saw the Mona Lisa surrounded by security (although I still managed to snap a photo). We also went to the Palace of Versailles, which is incredible. It is huge. Over 4,000 massive painting, gigantic gardens, the hall of mirrors, etc. The place is nuts. Also in Paris we took a boat ride along the Seine river. We climbed 248 steps to the top of the Arch De Triumph for a great view of the city & Eiffel Tower. We also went to the “Best show in all of Europe”, the Moulin Rouse. Nothing like the movie, more like a Vegas type of show. It was incredible (not just the dancing ladies and men where one happened to look identical to Jay Schlie, but the guy who played a drumset with ping pong balls, the gymnasts, the comedians, etc.). Very expensive tickets, but definitely worth it. Lots to see in Pairs, try to make it out there once in your lifetime.
