Rome, Italy

Our last stop of the tour, Rome. Pretty much the longest standing city in the world. Rome is definitely something to see. The Coliseum, the ancient Roman Empire ruins, the Vatican (which is technically it’s own separate country). It is incredible to see all of this stuff, and how old it has been around for. We ended up flying out of Rome, and the day before there was quite a bit of terrorist activity going on in Europe. First of all England had two cars filled with Propane tanks and NAILS! Wow. In Scotland, a man with a flaming Jeep tried crashing into an airport gate. We also heard something about a package of explosives at the airport in Spain. So all of this is going on, and we are about to fly back. Security was incredible. We showed our passports about 9 times and walked by dozens of military men with massive machine guns. It was nuts. We ended up getting home after the 10 hours of flying and returned to another crazy schedule due to Jetlag. For over a week I continued to wake up at 2am… Kari called me at 3am one morning cause she was up, and I was programming away on the computer. Definitely worth the trip though! Do it sometime youself…
