Introducing The “Maddog” Brett Banasiewicz Link Bracelet by The Link Foundation

Check it out, after the success of the link foundation stay strong link bracelet, we created a new bracelet for Brett called the mad dog bracelet. “Brett Banasiewicz surprised the world of BMX, at age 15, he decided to enter the Dew Tour Dirt Qualifiers in Chicago, Not only did Brett Qualify, he became the youngest rider to have ever won Dew Tour BMX Dirt! August 23, 2012, tragedy struck during a competition when a trick went wrong. Brett would have to fight for his life that day, remaining in a coma for 15 days, minimally conscious for the next 7 weeks. He suffered from a traumatic brain injury. Even though doctors did not hold out much hope that Brett would ride again, Brett fought hard to relearn the basics in life from eating, dressing, walking & talking to return to riding his bike less than a year later. Brett is still fighting to regain his life, to walk and to talk normal, and he’s determined to return to compete in his sport as he continues to also progress. He’s now inspiring thousands in & outside the world of bmx.” Available here: http://linksupport.org/2013/12/24/the-maddog-link/

The Pink Link Awareness Bracelets – Hand Made & Recycled Cancer Charity Fundraiser – JeffsArt.com

My buddy Jeff recently started “The Pink Link” cancer charity fundraiser awareness bracelets that you may have already seen. I spread a few around QBP, and also a few with Jim Rienstra who just left on his “Pedaling for Pennies” cycling trip from Minnesota to Alaska for the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund.

“Help us raise awareness, find a cure and to honor my parents, family, and everyone affected by cancer – which is everyone. To remind all of us that we are connected. By love, by loss, by everything. There is so much going on everyday in our lives, we forget whats important. We all need to be reminded that we are loved, and that we should show our love to others so they too are always reminded.” -Jeff

“Be the change you want to see in the world” -Jim Rienstra, Pedaling for Pennies from Minnesota to Alaska

Pro BMX legend and Minnesota local Jim Rienstra, is off on his new adventure pedaling all the way from Minnesota to Alaska to raise money for the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund. Jim started the old “Aspire BMX Video Contest” series you may remember back around 2000. We went to celebrate the first day of his trip as he pedaled into St Cloud at Chad house (BTW- Chad’s indoor 7′ mini ramp is soooo fun!!!) For more details & updates on Jimmer’s trip, and to help donate, please visit Jim’s site http://pedalingforpennies.info
